On Sunday, August 24, from 10 AM to 4 PM, Remai Modern and River Landing will come alive with WEGO 2025—a free, family-friendly celebration of art, music, dance, games, and hands-on activities. Whether you’re an early riser ready to start your day with high-energy performances, or you prefer a relaxed afternoon of exploring exhibitions and outdoor fun, there’s something for everyone. And for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere, Low-Sensory WEGO takes place on Monday, August 25 (RSVP required).

How to Make the Most of Day at WEGO

1. Pick Your Arrival Style

  • Early Birds – Arrive at 10 AM to catch the Welcome & Opening Protocol with Lyndon J. Linklater, followed by morning music and dance performances.
  • Afternooners – Stroll in after lunch for the second music sets and a leisurely wander through the festival.
  • All-Day Revellers – Dive in at opening and enjoy everything WEGO has to offer from morning to late afternoon.

2. Don’t Miss These Must-See Performances

River Landing Amphitheatre
  • 10:15 AM & 1:15 PMMr. Eric: Playful, engaging music for all ages.
  • 11:45 AM & 2:45 PMokimaw: Powerful performances blending tradition and contemporary sounds.
West Patio
  • 11 AM & 2 PMBeau Nectar: (bilingual) intimate and vibrant synth/pop/folk with fauna and flora-inspired concepts.
  • 12:30 PM & 3:30 PMJay & Danica: a blend of music and storytelling into a heartfelt, harmony-rich performances.
Tipi (South Grounds)
  • Traditional games and birchbark basket workshops with Wanuskewin and Lyndon J. Linklater. The WEGO Tipi grounds are generously supported by Sandbox Mutual Insurance.

3. Fuel Up at the BBQ (or Bring Your Own Picnic)

From 11 AM to 2 PM, grab a hot dog or veggie dog from our BBQ for $4. Drinks available for $1. Or bring your own snacks and enjoy a picnic in the outdoor seating areas. Thank you to Co-op Saskatoon for supporting this year’s BBQ.

From giant games and chalk art to tattoo stations, heritage toys, and pop-up libraries, there’s something new to discover around every corner.

Your festival admission includes access to all exhibitions inside Remai Modern. Cool off, enjoy the art, and take a break from the outdoor buzz.

6. Join Us for Low-Sensory WEGO

WEGO is a busy event with lots going on. Recognizing that some children and parents prefer a low-sensory environment, we are pleased to offer a WEGO experience tailored to their needs. Low-Sensory WEGO takes place on Monday, August 25, from 1 PM-6 PM. This event is free, but registration is required. Reserve free tickets to Low-Sensory WEGO.

Getting Here

🚴 Bike – Racks available near the main entrance. A free bike valet, provided by Saskatoon Cycles, is available during WEGO. The valet offers safe, secure parking for bicycles, with attendants on-site to check in your bike and return it when you present your claim card.

🚍 Bus – Transit stops nearby on 2nd Avenue and 20th Street.

🚗 Drive – Paid parking in River Landing parkade or nearby lots. Accessible drop-off at the main entrance.
