One of Remai Modern’s most-loved events returned on Sunday, August 30. WEGO 2026 brought thousands of people to the museum and River Landing for a free day of art, music, dance, hands-on making and more — and a bit of rain never slowed anyone down!
Throughout the museum, more than 20 artists, performers and community partners made the day what it was.

Music
Rain moved the live music indoors, but that didn’t stop WEGOers from enjoying a full day of performances hosted by Stony Mac.
Guests caught the atmospheric French-language pop of Ponteix, back-to-back sets from Dump Babes, and an afternoon turn from Loonie Bin. Thanks to Saskatoon Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services for providing American Sign Language interpretation for these sets.
Movement
Rain moved the dance performances indoors, into the museum’s atrium and the Level 2 Riverview Room. Visitors experienced Indigenous dance presentations from Treyden Kahsokeo Moosomin, Beretta Sanderson and Davika Ironbow, hoop dancing with Terra Bear, and two sets from Linglong Chinese Dance Studio. Dance Saskatchewan Inc.’s artists-in-residence also debuted new works — turning the museum’s public spaces into dance floors for the day.

Giant games from Ludoland, face painting with Kreative Mum, roving magic from Dynamite Dale, a wearable-art catwalk and a full slate of activity zones from community partners:
