Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 14! Remai Modern is excited to bring back WEGO, a one-day art festival that spans River Landing and each floor of the museum. Created for art lovers of all ages, this event includes artmaking, music, dance and more. The day promises to be full of fun, so check out our official WEGO playlist from musician Josh Palmer and recommended itineraries to make the most of your day. WEGO is free to all thanks to the support of the Rawlco Radio Free Admission Program.

WEGO has a schedule to suit everyone
Whether you’re an early riser or love to sleep in, WEGO has you covered. Many of the featured artists have both morning and afternoon performances, and interactive activities for the entire family go all day.

Music by Brenda Baker
Writer and performer Brenda Baker has been part of Saskatchewan’s music and literary scene for over three decades. Baker is best known as a singer for young audiences. In 2005 she founded Kids of Note, a choir for children, with and without disabilities, who love to sing.

Headliner Susan Aglukark
Inuk singer/songwriter Susan Aglukark is one of Canada’s most unique artists and a leading voice in Canadian music. She blends the Inuktitut, Indigenous and English languages with contemporary pop music arrangements to tell the stories of her fellow people, the Inuit of Arctic Canada and her fellow Indigenous groups. American Sign Language interpreters will be on site at the WEGO main stage throughout the day.

Hip-Hop Dance with Amanda Murray
Since creating def SOL Productions in the summer of 2004, Amanda Murray has remained a pivotal force in the growth and recognition of Saskatchewan’s street dance scene. With over 20 years of experience as an educator and performer, she has paved the way for street dancers from the 306 in addition to creating a greater public awareness of Hip Hop culture and its elements. Don’t miss your chance to learn some moves from Murray.

Music by Josh Palmer
For the last 20 years, Josh Palmer has worked as a singer and songwriter, professional multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, record producer and film composer. In 2022, he was nominated for Producer of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards. Palmer began his career performing live on stage at the age of eight, and is a former Canadian Idol Top 5 finalist. He has toured Canada and North America countless times with his bands The Sunset Kids and The Rebellion.

How to get to WEGO
🚴♀️ By bike: Saskatoon Cycles’ free bike valet will watch your ride while you take everything in.
🚍 By bus: Saskatoon Transit routes 1 Exhibition/City Centre and 6 Broadway Market Mall both travel through River Landing.
🚗 By car: Paid parking is available in the underground lot off of Saunders Place. There are also a few spots near the Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge. City parking stalls are free on Sundays.
Of course, you can also walk, rollerblade, skateboard, cab or Uber too!
