One of Remai Modern’s most-loved events returned on August 24 and 25. WEGO 2025 animated Remai Modern and River Landing once again, inviting thousands of visitors to enjoy a vibrant, free festival of art, music, dance, hands‑on fun, and much more.
WEGO was funded in part by the Government of Canada. We are also grateful for Sandbox Mutual Insurance’s support of the Tipi Grounds, and Saskatoon Co-op for sponsoring our BBQ.
Take a look at some of the memories we captured along the way. All photos by Carey Shaw.

Music
Attendees caught the playful tunes of Mr. Eric, the roots‑rock storytelling of okimaw ᐅᑭᒪᐤ, the intimate synth‑pop/folk of Beau Nectar, and the melodic storytelling of Jay & Danica.
Movement
Dance Saskatchewan’s residency performances brought dynamic choreography to life throughout the day, inviting spontaneous movement and dialogue between performers and festival-goers.

Art and Play
Everywhere you turned, creativity bloomed: giant wooden games from Ludoland, open chalk drawings by Nikki Sirett, a pop-up temporary tattoo studio, heritage stations, and activity zones from incredible community partners:
- Saskatoon Public Library
- Western Development Museum
- Meewasin Valley Authority
- Nutrien Wonderhub
- Ukrainian Museum of Canada
- Nutrien Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan
- Persephone Theatre
- OUTSaskatoon
Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for WEGO and Low-Sensory WEGO 2025—artists, partners, families, and friends who made the both days unforgettable. We’re already looking forward to welcoming you back next year for more music, movement, and creativity.
This project was made possible in part by the Government of Canada.
