This video was shot during the installation of The Sonnabend Collection at Remai Modern in 2019 and profiles the people and process behind Sol LeWitt’s Wall Drawing #113 (Arcs from Four Corners). Several Remai Modern staff members played an important role in re-creating this work by LeWitt (1928-2007), an artist who believed that the creation of the art was less important than the idea itself. In his famous series of Wall Drawings, he created instructions that enable assistants to make the actual marks on the wall. LeWitt’s works are still installed at museums around the world, more than a decade after his death.
